We are delighted to share with our friends and supporters that Re:store Northampton has successfully secured a Five Year grant from The Big Lottery, Help Through Crisis fund. The grant is a partnership Citizens Advice Central and East Northamptonshire, Northamptonshire Community Foundation and Springs Family Centre, with Restore Northampton as the lead agency.
Collectively we will be expanding current services and developing new services to support local people who are experiencing food poverty. This will include Re:store HUB (drop in) with a free hot meal, in-house specialist advice and advocacy sessions, life-skills groups, a beneficiary forum, cookery and a jobs club. This will help fulfil the hope of offering a ‘hand-up’ rather than just a ‘hand-out’. As always, the success of this service will rely upon the goodwill of our community through volunteers, donated food/services and ongoing support - it really is about people in Northampton serving and loving one another!
