Restore Northampton works in partnership with other local charities to ensure those who are in need of food, have swift access to the best services available.

There are several models of food provision across the county, all serving a different purpose, but creating a supportive process of moving from crisis to independence for those in crisis or living on a low-income longer-term.

Since the first lockdown in Spring 2020, food poverty has increased as Covid-19 has impacted families and individuals in many ways. There has been a noble response from the wider community with new groups being set up to reach those who have never found themselves in this situation before.

The issue is not concentrated to Central Northampton, but across all areas of Northampton and the rural communities beyond. The Food Aid Alliance West Northants includes charities and groups that respond to the needs of the community across this geographical area. This will mirror the Unitary system of West Northants, including Northampton Town, Daventry, Towcester, Brackley and villages such as Bugbrooke and Roade.

Restore joins regularly with these The Food Aid Alliance WN to work collaboratively in tackling food poverty. Re:store has worked with these partners to create a Food Aid Directory to list all who are part of this alliance and make a clear pathway to accessing their services.

The document below labelled “Food Aid Directory” includes all referral criteria, locations and contact details. This is also listed by day/time so that if you are seeking support immediately you can see where is the next opportunity to get help.
