Corporate Volunteering in Action: Nationwide Joins Growbaby for a Make an Impact Day
At Restore Northampton, we believe social value isn’t just about numbers, it’s about connection, compassion, and community. Our Make an Impact Days give local businesses the chance to turn Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals into tangible, hands-on support for families across Northampton.
We were delighted to welcome members of Nationwide’s Economic Crime Team for a Growbaby Make an Impact Day, a half-day volunteering experience that truly brought Restore’s mission to life.
What Is a ‘Make an Impact Day?’
Restore’s Make an Impact Days are half-day corporate volunteering sessions that help organisations meet their Social Value goals while making a real difference locally.
Each session includes:
Welcome with coffee and pastries
Insight into local need and Restore’s impact
A guided tour of Restore’s facilities and mission
Hands-on activities such as sorting donations, creating family bundles, and restocking shelves
A team debrief and certificate of participation
These days strengthen communities, boost staff morale, and provide authentic impact stories for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) reporting.
The Nationwide Team in Action
After a short introduction and tour, the Nationwide volunteers rolled up their sleeves in the Growbaby Boutique, sorting baby clothing bundles, preparing toiletry packs, and restocking essentials for families in hardship. Their efforts helped ensure every family visiting Growbaby could choose what they needed in a welcoming and dignified space.
