Celebrating 12 Years of Restore Northampton

On 25th September, we gathered to celebrate 12 years of Restore Northampton, a wonderful milestone and a chance to reflect on the journey so far, while also looking with excitement to the future.

We were honoured to welcome Deputy Lieutenant Neelam Aggarwal-Singh MBE JP and the Mayor of Northampton, Jane Birch, who joined donors, volunteers, staff, professional partners, and friends. Their presence showed how deeply Restore has become part of Northampton’s story.

The afternoon featured inspiring stories from across the community. Long-standing volunteers spoke about the friendships, purpose, and joy they’ve found in serving others. We also heard from people who once came to Restore for support and now serve as volunteers themselves, sharing how they rebuilt their confidence and future.

Project co-ordinators read moving testimonies from those unable to attend, each one showing the impact of Restore’s work in helping people find stability, healing, and renewed hope.

This celebration was not just about Restore, it was about all of us, coming together. Volunteers, donors, other local charities, professional partners, and community supporters united in a shared vision: to bring life, love, and compassion to Northampton. That collective effort is what makes Restore’s work possible, and what allows us to keep building a community where people feel valued, supported, and never alone.

Following the presentations, we shared in a time of fellowship over a delicious buffet lunch provided by The Good Loaf which provided the perfect setting for conversation, connection, and building new partnerships.

As we celebrated the achievements of the past year and reflected on 12 years of Restore, we were reminded that the work is far from finished. There is still much to do, but with the strength of our community behind us, the future is filled with possibility.

We are so thankful for everyone who joined us in marking this special day. Here’s to the next 12 years, and to continuing this important work, together.
