COVID-19 (Coronavirus) - 24/3/20 Important Update: Re:store Northampton, including Northampton Food Bank
NORTHAMPTON FOOD BANK is OPEN WITH LIMITED SERVICE for those in absolute crisis without other support networks to help with emergency food provision. All other activities at Re:store Northampton (Nest, Growbaby etc) are Temporarily Closed.
If you have a referral for the Food Bank, please note the only Distribution Points open to COLLECT food parcel is Re:store Northampton, 42 Sheep St, NN1 2LZ, TUESDAY & THURSDAY 10am-12pm. All other locations are closed until further notice.
If you are in an ‘at risk’ category, live with people at risk, or you or someone in your household have any symptoms of the coronavirus infection you must not access Northampton Food Bank and need to self-isolate for the recommended time. Please see here for more advice and support:/www.gov.uk/coronavirus
If you are a Referral Agency please check email dated 24/3/20 for further updates.
If you are in need of food, nappies or other essentials please contact a Referral Agency - you cannot access a food parcel without a valid code. However, we are aware many services are closed, so we have set up a temporary self-referral hotline on 020 3239 8165. The Food Bank is only available if you are experiencing financial hardship and have no other form of support.
Re:store is passionately committed to serving the vulnerable in our communities who have no other support network, and we are so pleased to be able to continue to do this during this time of crisis. We are a small charity, run mostly by volunteers, and have had to make tough decisions to protect our team and the public, and follow national guidance. This means that our services will not run in the usual way, we will limit contact and just provide for people in absolute crisis.
We are unable to accept food donations at this time, although we know we will be in increasing need, but we would gladly accept financial donations to allow our invaluable work to continue - we are aiming to secure access to larger food warehouses/distribution if finance allows. Please see our website for how to donate: https://localgiving.org/charity/restorenorthampton/
