The projects range from crisis support, providing food and necessities to those suffering from unforeseen economic hardship, to longer term support work in the form of sharing skills and giving emotional and practical support. |
We aim to give a ‘hand-up’ rather than just a ‘hand-out’ and seek to give individuals the opportunities to move forward into greater independence. These skills include growing produce for consumption, managing money and cooking on a budget. All projects centre around ensuring those we are in contact with have their basic needs met.

OUR VISION |
OUR MOTIVATION |
|
|
Re:store Northampton seeks to support vulnerable people within the Borough of Northampton, through practical means. The charity desires to offer people a hand-up rather than just a hand out, and does this through equipping individuals and families with skills for independent living.
Those working and volunteering for Re:store hope to see people’s lives restored through working alongside people, building self-esteem and encouraging them to make positive steps forward. |
The staff and volunteers are motivated by the Biblical call to demonstrate God’s love through acts of kindness. The Christian faith encourages those following it to show love, acceptance and mercy to all people in all circumstances, without judging and to stand up for what is right.
Micah 6:8 states that the Lord calls us to ‘act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with our eyes on God’. |
